You will handle client inquiries, site tours, and act as the primary contact from initial booking through event execution, while preparing BEOs and coordinating menus and equipment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; degree in Hospitality Management, Culinary Arts, or Marketing preferred.
• 1–3 years catering, food service, or administrative office experience in a hotel/event setting.

• Event documentation: prepare and distribute BEOs, group resumes, room diagrams, signage, and daily reader boards.
• Menu & detail planning: assist clients with custom food and beverage menus, coordinate equipment rentals, track dietary/allergy requirements.
• Administrative & financial tasks: process contracts, deposits, gift certificates, manage office/inventory, review bills, final invoicing.
• Cross-department coordination: liaise with culinary, banquet, housekeeping, and sales to ensure smooth execution.

The Hilton Cincinnati Netherland Plaza is excited to hire a Catering Coordinator. The Hotel Catering Coordinator manages the administrative, planning, and operational details for banquets, weddings, corporate meetings, and private events.

Client Communication: Answer inquiries, conduct property site tours, handle walk-ins, and act as a primary point of contact from initial booking through event execution.

Event Documentation: Prepare and distribute Banquet Event Orders (BEOs), group resumes, room diagrams, door signage, and daily reader boards to internal teams.

Menu & Detail Planning: Assist clients with custom food and beverage menus, coordinate equipment rentals, and track dietary or allergy requirements.

Administrative & Financial Tasks: Process contracts, deposits, and gift certificates, manage office and collateral inventories, review event bills, and handle final invoicing.

Cross-Department Coordination: Liaise with the culinary team, banquet staff, housekeeping, and sales managers to ensure smooth execution.

Education: High school diploma required; a degree in Hospitality Management, Culinary Arts, or Marketing is often preferred.

Experience: 1 to 3 years of general catering, food service, or administrative office experience in a hotel or event setting.

Software Proficiency: Familiarity with property management and catering systems.

Key Soft Skills: Strong organizational and multi-tasking abilities, clear written and verbal communication, and composure under pressure.

Schedule Flexibility: Ability to work occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays depending on hotel event schedules.

Compensation

$20 per hour
