Job summary

HEI Hotels & Resorts seeks a Catering Sales / Convention Services professional to manage solicitation, contracting, and planning for meetings and events. You will optimize revenue across F&B, room rental, AV and related services while coordinating with culinary, front office, revenue and accounting teams.

This role requires ad hoc travel and approximately 70% on-property presence with 30% remote work from a home office, driving client relationships and post-event follow-up.

Qualifications

• Prior hospitality catering sales or convention services experience.
• Ability to travel on ad hoc basis and spend multiple days on property.
• Proficiency with Word and Excel; experience with hotel sales systems.
• Strong negotiation, contracting, closing, and revenue optimization skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide catering and convention sales leadership from solicitation to post-event follow-up.
• Maximize revenue across food & beverage, room rental, AV and related services.
• Coordinate with culinary, banquet, front office, revenue, sales and accounting teams.
• Lead pre-convention meetings and ensure clear cross-department communication.
• Monitor block progress, pacing, commitments, and contractual guidelines.
