Compass Group USA is hiring a Catering Captain in Winona, MN for a full-time, events-driven role. You will coordinate catering staff, assist with food service, and ensure timely delivery and setup for functions.

The position requires prior catering or restaurant service experience, a valid driver's license may be required, and state-permitted food handler or alcohol server credentials. Competitive hourly pay with benefits for full-time staff.

Qualifications

• Requires valid driver's license or ability to obtain one.
• Must possess or able to obtain a food handler's permit and/or alcohol servers permit where required by state law.

Responsibilities

• Determines workload from catering orders.
• Meets with function group leaders to discuss setup; addresses changes and resolves problems.
• Interacts with customers and resolves complaints in a service-oriented manner.
• Demonstrates understanding of menu items.
• Instructs staff on work expectations for catered functions.
• Helps staff set up rooms to desired specifications.
• Assembles and delivers food and supplies to scheduled locations.
• Serves food and beverages to guests.
• Returns food, beverages, serving equipment and utensils to the catering facility.
