We are hiring immediately for a full-time CATERING CAPTAIN position.

Location: Medtronic Mounds View - 8200 Coral Sea Street, Mounds View, MN 55112. Note: online applications accepted only.

Schedule: Full-time; Monday through Friday, hours may vary, usually early mornings. More details upon interview.

Requirement: Prior catering experience is required.

Pay Rate: $21.00 per hour.

Job Summary

Coordinates catering staff schedules to ensure timely delivery, service, and cleanup of functions. Prepares and serves food under supervision. May drive a truck for deliveries.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Determine workload from catering orders.
2. Meet with function leaders to discuss setup and resolve last-minute issues.
3. Interact with customers and resolve complaints.
4. Understand menu items thoroughly.
5. Instruct staff on work expectations.
6. Assist in setting up rooms.
7. Assemble and deliver food and supplies.
8. Serve food and beverages.
9. Return equipment and supplies.
10. Ensure proper presentation and temperature, following HACCP standards.
11. Maintain cleanliness of equipment and supplies.
12. Follow recipes and standards for food prep.
13. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license may be required.
• Must obtain a food handler's permit and/or alcohol server's permit if required by law.
