Job Details

• We are hiring immediately for full-time CATERING CAPTAIN positions.
• Location: American Airlines - STL - 10701 Lambert International Boulevard Main Terminal, St. Louis, MO 63145. Note: online applications accepted only.
• Schedule: Full-time; days and hours may vary, including mid or closing shifts (10:15 am - 6:45 pm). More details upon interview.
• Requirements: Supervisory management experience and food service experience required.

• Pay Rate: $21.00 per hour

Job Summary

Coordinates catering staff schedules to ensure timely delivery, serving, and clearing of functions. Prepares and serves food under supervision. May drive a truck to deliver food and beverages.

Responsibilities

1. Determine workload based on catering orders.
2. Meet with function leaders for setup and resolve last-minute issues.
3. Interact with customers and resolve complaints.
4. Understand menu items thoroughly.
5. Instruct staff on work expectations.
6. Help set up rooms as per specifications.
7. Deliver food and supplies to locations.
8. Serve food and beverages.
9. Return equipment and supplies post-event.
10. Maintain presentation, portion control, and temperature standards following HACCP.
11. Keep equipment and supplies clean and organized.
12. Follow recipes and standards for food prep.
13. Perform additional duties as needed.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license may be required.
• Must obtain or possess a food handler’s permit and/or alcohol servers permit as required by law.
