Five Star Breaktime Solutions is seeking a friendly Café Associate to support our Dining Services team. You will prepare and serve food items, maintain cleanliness, and deliver excellent customer service in a fast-paced setting.

The role emphasizes teamwork, quality standards, and adherence to safety procedures. Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED and some food service experience.

Qualifications

• Customer service and teamwork skills expected.
• Proven experience in food service preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide food prep, cooking, delivery, set up, serving, breakdown and cleaning for Catering Events both on and off premises.
• Responsible for preparing hot and cold items for service according to established recipes and standards.
• Complies with all portion sizes, quality standards, department rules, policies and procedures.
• Samples, smells, and observe food to ensure conformance to recipes and standards of appearance and taste.
• Maintains a sanitary workstation, including sweeping, mopping, and dishwashing.
• Selects and uses knives, hand tools, utensils, and equipment to portion, cut, slice, mash, puree, whip, beat, roll, stuff, maintain holding temperature, cook or otherwise produce food in the assigned station.
• Put-up truck orders and stock deliveries.
• Remove the trash as needed.
