Position Details

Title: Catering Bartender - Chicago Botanic Gardens

Pay Range: $20.00 to $22.00

Job Summary

Prepares and serves beverages to guests in a friendly, courteous, and timely manner.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Adhere to liquor laws regarding serving alcohol to minors and intoxicated guests.
2. Set up bars, stock beer, wine, spirits, and supplies.
3. Maintain fresh garnishes, juices, and perishables.
4. Greet guests courteously.
5. Take and prepare drink orders, garnish, and serve drinks.
6. Verify guest identification.
7. Detect guest intoxication and act accordingly.
8. Handle cash transactions accurately.
9. Secure beverage and cash assets properly.
10. Maintain cleanliness and organization of work area.
11. Arrange bottles and glasses attractively.
12. Wash and sterilize stemware.
13. Perform other duties as assigned.
