Job Summary

The Catering Bartender prepares and serves beverages to guests in a friendly, courteous, and timely manner.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Adhere to liquor laws and regulations regarding serving alcohol to minors and intoxicated guests.
2. Set up assigned bars; requisition and stock beer, wine, spirits, paper products, garnishes, glassware, ice, and produce.
3. Maintain stock and prepare fresh fruit and vegetable garnishes, juices, and perishables.
4. Greet guests courteously.
5. Take and process drink orders; mix, garnish, and present drinks using standard recipes; practice portion control.
6. Verify guest IDs for alcohol service.
7. Detect and respond to guest intoxication; demonstrate knowledge of liquor laws.
8. Handle cash, make change, verify charges, and record transactions.
9. Secure beverage products, food, equipment, and cash deposits.
10. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area.
11. Arrange bottles and glasses attractively.
12. Wash and sterilize stemware.
13. Perform other duties as assigned.
