Job Summary

Summary: Prepares and serves beverages to guests in the bar area in a friendly, courteous, and timely manner.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Adheres to liquor laws regarding serving alcohol to minors and intoxicated guests.
• Sets up the bar, stocks beer, wine, spirits, glassware, and supplies.
• Maintains stock and prepares garnishes, juices, and perishables.
• Greets guests courteously.
• Takes and processes drink orders, mixes and garnishes drinks, practices portion control.
• Checks IDs for guests.
• Detects guest intoxication and acts accordingly, knows liquor laws.
• Handles cash, verifies charges, and records transactions.
• Secures beverage and cash items properly.
• Maintains cleanliness and organization of the work area.
• Arranges bottles and glasses attractively.
• Washes and sterilizes stemware.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
