Job summary

SSA Group, LLC is seeking a Catering Associate in San Antonio, TX to deliver warm, welcoming experiences at catered events. You will oversee setup, service, and breakdown, manage inventory, and work closely with the Catering Supervisor and Operations Manager.

The role requires strong interpersonal skills, physical stamina, and flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays. Catering or event experience is a plus, and company benefits include overtime pay and a 401(k) match.

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to articulate to our client, General Manager and HQ personnel.
• Problem solving and decision making; organized and adaptable in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work varied hours including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift 35 lbs.
• Experience in catering or event industry is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Live out 452 Hospitality by delivering warm, welcoming, and memorable experiences for every guest and client.
• Oversee quality, product levels and inventory of product.
• Fulfill guest needs quickly and efficiently and resolve complaints.
• Meet expectations of setup, execution, breakdown, and cleanup of each catered event.
• Execute back of the house, front of the house and side work duties for overall productivity of banquet events.
• Support placement, movement and storage of rental orders, buffet cards, and catering items.
• Maintain a friendly and approachable attitude towards the client, guests, and staff.
