Job description

As a Category Development Manager, you will play a key role in driving the growth of the energy category and the Celsius brand within targeted regional retailers. This role reports to the Vice President, Category & Insights, and involves collaboration with Sales, Marketing, and Growth & Strategy teams to create and execute category development strategies. The ideal candidate will use data-driven insights to craft compelling stories that elevate the energy category, strengthen retailer relationships, and advance strategic objectives.

This is a remote role requiring 30%+ travel. Candidates based in Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas, Minneapolis, or Oklahoma City will be prioritized to align with business needs. Candidates must reside near a major airport for ease of travel.

Responsibilities:
  1. Category Growth: Partner with key stakeholders to develop strategies that increase market share within Regional Key Accounts.
  2. Data-Driven Insights: Use syndicated data (e.g., IRI, Nielsen, SPINS) and panel data to analyze market trends and consumer behaviors, then translate these insights into actionable recommendations.
  3. Retailer Collaboration: Build and maintain strong relationships with targeted retailers, acting as a trusted advisor with data-backed insights.
  4. Cross-Functional Partnership: Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and Growth & Strategy teams to ensure aligned objectives and strategy execution.
  5. Strategic Planning: Identify opportunities to optimize product placement, pricing, promotions, and assortment strategies.
  6. Travel: Represent Celsius in meetings and industry events, with up to 30-50% travel required.
  7. Category Reporting: Develop reports and dashboards to monitor performance and inform leadership decisions.
  8. Storytelling: Translate complex data into clear narratives and visuals for internal and external stakeholders.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 5+ years in category management, insights, or related roles within CPG, preferably in beverages or energy drinks.
  • Experience with syndicated and panel data tools such as Nielsen, IRI, SPINS, or Numerator.
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 30-50%, residing near a major airport.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and strong interpersonal skills.

Salary Range:

$95,000 - $105,000 annually, with actual pay based on location, experience, and qualifications. Additional compensation may include bonuses and RSUs.
