Job description

As a Category Development Manager, you will play a key role in driving the growth of the energy category and the Celsius brand within targeted regional retailers. This role reports to the Vice President, Category & Insights, and involves collaboration with Sales, Marketing, and Growth & Strategy teams to create and execute category development strategies. The ideal candidate will use data-driven insights to craft compelling stories that elevate the energy category, strengthen retailer relationships, and support the company's strategic objectives.

This is a remote role requiring 30%+ travel. Preference will be given to candidates based in Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas, Minneapolis, or Oklahoma City to align with business needs. Candidates must reside near a major airport for travel convenience.

Responsibilities:
  1. Category Growth: Partner with internal stakeholders to develop strategies that increase the energy category share within Regional Key Accounts.
  2. Data-Driven Insights: Utilize syndicated and panel data (e.g., IRI, Nielsen, SPINS) to analyze market trends, consumer behaviors, and category performance; provide actionable recommendations.
  3. Retailer Collaboration: Build and maintain relationships with targeted retailers, presenting data-backed insights and strategies to foster mutual growth.
  4. Cross-Functional Partnership: Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and Growth & Strategy teams to align objectives and ensure strategy execution across channels.
  5. Strategic Planning: Identify opportunities to optimize product placement, pricing, promotions, and assortment strategies.
  6. Travel: Represent Celsius Holdings at meetings and industry events, with up to 30-50% travel as needed.
  7. Category Reporting: Develop reports and dashboards to monitor performance and inform leadership decisions.
  8. Storytelling: Translate complex data into understandable narratives and visuals for stakeholders.
Requirements:
  1. Minimum 5+ years in category management, insights, or related roles within the CPG industry; beverage or energy drinks experience is a plus.
  2. Proficiency with syndicated and panel data tools like Nielsen, IRI, SPINS, or Numerator.
  3. Willingness and ability to travel up to 30-50%; proximity to a major airport is required.
  4. Strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite, interpersonal communication, and a results-oriented approach.

Salary Range:

$95,000 - $105,000 annually. Actual pay depends on location, experience, and qualifications. Additional compensation may include bonuses and RSUs.
