The Opportunity:

Are you looking for an opportunity to drive strategic procurement solutions within a company? CACI’s Category Management Team is seeking a strategic-focused procurement professional to execute, implement, and manage CACI’s Category and Commodity Enterprise Agreements.

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Category & Commodity Manager to join CACI’s team. The successful candidate will develop and implement category and commodity strategies, manage supplier relationships, and optimize procurement processes for assigned categories and commodities.

This person will be a highly experienced strategic procurement professional, capable of analyzing industry and consumer trends, developing strategies for product categories, managing product pricing, and fostering supplier relationships.

As a member of Category & Commodity Management, you will collaborate with leadership and senior stakeholders to lead the execution, implementation, and management of CACI’s Enterprise-Wide Agreements. Your efforts will drive cost savings and risk reduction by eliminating operational inefficiencies, negotiating vendor-specific contracts, and acting as a trusted advisor to enable business success.

You will be a passionate advocate for categories and commodities within CACI, possessing strong negotiation and analytical skills, along with proven government contract knowledge and experience. The ability to prioritize and multitask effectively is essential, as are project management skills and attention to detail. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter and must hold a warrant in accordance with the CACI Procurement Policy and signature authority database.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute category strategies to maximize value and minimize risk
  • Lead sourcing initiatives and negotiate contracts with suppliers for competitive pricing and favorable terms
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand business needs and align procurement strategies
  • Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities and process improvements
  • Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and emerging procurement technologies
  • Ensure NDAs, Reseller Agreements, and Partner Agreements are properly positioned before initiating business
  • Manage RFIs, RFPs, and RFQs, ensuring all terms are agreed upon and documented
  • Lead vendor selection processes with internal stakeholders
  • Analyze software licensing models and service level measures
  • Develop KPIs for vendors and negotiate long-term strategic contracts for cost reduction and improved service
  • Monitor market conditions, technology roadmaps, and supply/demand challenges & opportunities
  • Manage vendor relationships and performance, including dispute resolution
  • Collaborate with Corporate and Sector Leadership, Solution Architects, Engineers, Purchasing, Subcontracts, and other Category Managers
  • This position is located on-site in OKC, Oklahoma
Qualifications:

Required:

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of broad procurement experience, focusing on category management, purchasing, strategic sourcing, and contract negotiation
  • Understanding of current market conditions with a proven track record of driving savings
  • Strong analytical skills, experience with spend analysis tools, and Excel proficiency
  • Experience executing RFPs independently, including business outsourcing
  • Strong contract negotiation skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Preferred experience with enterprise Software and SaaS agreements (e.g., Microsoft, Oracle, SAP, VMWare, Salesforce, Atlassian, Splunk, GitLab)
