*This range represents a national range and the actual salary will depend on several factors including the scope and complexity of the role, skills, education, training, credentials, location, and experience of an applicant, as well as the level of role for which the successful candidate is hired. Position may be eligible for an annual bonus payment.

Exercises independent discretion or judgment in handling all types of catastrophe property claims. Assists assigned field office when not on catastrophe deployment in handling day-to-day property claims.
Establishes contact with policyholders regarding their loss, drives to damage sites within assigned territory, and assesses damages.
Sets and manages reserves within authority, identifies damages, determines liability, and estimates claim value.
Prepares estimates, coordinates with contractors and policyholders, documents claim activities, and manages claim files.
Decides on payments, negotiates claims, and supervises independent adjusters when necessary.
Attends industry training to stay current on legal and regulatory developments.
Supports field offices when not on catastrophe deployment and maintains operational equipment.

High school diploma or equivalent; five years claims handling experience including two years property claims; strong technical knowledge of damage repair and valuation techniques.
Preferred: Completion of AIC program, proficiency with estimating software (e.g., Symbility), valid license, and good driving record. Must reside within the assigned territory unless approved.
Ability to lift/move 0-20 lbs frequently, 20-50 lbs often, over 50 lbs with assistance, and frequent driving. Also includes manual data entry and accessing heights.
