Commonwealth Eye Surgery is seeking a motivated Surgery Scheduler to coordinate cataract surgery processes and patient communications in Louisville, KY. You will schedule surgeries, handle pre- and post-operative instructions, and explain insurance policies and costs to patients.

Qualifications

• Experience in ophthalmic office preferred or knowledge of surgical procedures and insurance processing.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Schedule patients for surgery and manage pre- and post-operative details.
• Educate patients on upgrade options for RSC and RSC+.
• Explain insurance filing policy and initiate financial arrangements.
• Provide pre- and post-operative instructions and medication explanations.
• E-scribe patient medications as needed.
• Interact with patients face-to-face and by phone.
• Prepare surgery days with medications, consents, financial obligations, and post-operative appointments.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Chief Operations Officer
