Johnson Matthey Plc in Devon, PA, is seeking a Catalytic Testing Engineer to support lab capability and OEE improvements across projects. You will partner with Lab Management, development teams and SCAT analysts to drive testing activities and process enhancements.

The role emphasizes KPI-driven progress, safety, and cross-functional collaboration, with a 3rd shift (Sun–Thu) and strong emphasis on Excel and Power BI skills.

Qualifications

• Technical degree – Desirable.
• Analytical testing experience with catalyst performance testing is preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and strong time management.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Lab Manager, SCAT Lab Supervisor and teams to plan and execute projects to improve lab capability and OEE.
• Assess procurement and use of new instrumentation and procedures for risk and efficiency.
• Support testing activities to meet business demands and provide technical resources to SCAT analysts.
• Define and report KPIs for project progress and escalate delays to stakeholders.
• Use lean processes with daily SCAT team meetings to monitor safety, 5S and quality.

Works independently on specific quality tasks within required time frame with support available and regular checks by supervisor or senior colleague.**The Role:****As a Catalytic Testing Engineer, you will help drive goals by:** * Collaborates with Lab Manager, SCAT Lab Supervisor, Lab Team Leads, and Development teams in the definition, planning and execution of projects targeting the improvement of the laboratories’ capability and OEE.* Prioritizes process and occupational risk assessment of the procurement and eventual use of new instrumentation and operating procedures.* Will support appropriate testing activities as required by challenging business demands.* Provide technical resource and assistance to SCAT analysts.* Defines and reports KPI’s pertaining to project completion to clearly communicate progress and escalate delays to stakeholders and senior management as appropriate when an impact to test programs is anticipated and/or additional support is required.* Uses the lean process with proactive daily meetings involving the SCAT team and stakeholders to monitor safety, schedule adherence, 5S and quality.* Proactively manages the safety, housekeeping and equipment capability and inventories.
