Johnson Matthey in Pennsylvania is seeking a Catalytic Testing Engineer to advance lab capability, optimize OEE, and support cross-functional development teams. You will manage instrumentation risk, provide technical support to SCAT analysts, and lead KPI reporting to stakeholders.

This shift-focused role emphasizes safety, 5S, and continuous improvement. The position requires collaboration across lab leads, developers and management, with a strong emphasis on analytical testing, Excel/Power BI

• Prioritize risk assessment of new instrumentation and procedures.
• Support testing activities to meet challenging business demands.
• Provide technical resource and assistance to SCAT analysts.
• Define and report KPIs on project progress and escalate delays.
• Lead daily lean meetings with SCAT team to monitor safety, schedule, 5S and quality.
• Manage safety, housekeeping, equipment capability and inventories; monitor testing quality and drive improvements.

Works independently on specific quality tasks within required time frame with support available and regular checks by supervisor or senior colleague.

The Role:

As a Catalytic Testing Engineer, you will help drive goals by:

• Collaborates with Lab Manager, SCAT Lab Supervisor, Lab Team Leads, and Development teams in the definition, planning and execution of projects targeting the improvement of the laboratories’ capability and OEE.
• Prioritizes process and occupational risk assessment of the procurement and eventual use of new instrumentation and operating procedures.
• Will support appropriate testing activities as required by challenging business demands.
• Provide technical resource and assistance to SCAT analysts.
• Defines and reports KPI’s pertaining to project completion to clearly communicate progress and escalare delays to stakeholders and senior management as appropriate when an impact to test programs is anticipated and/or additional support is required.
• Uses the lean process with proactive daily meetings involving the SCAT team and stakeholders to monitor safety, schedule adherence, 5S and quality.
• Proactively manages the safety, housekeeping and equipment capability and inventories. Monitors testing quality and takes active steps for continuous improvement.

Note: This position is on 3rd Shift (Sunday - Thursday)
