Job summary

Norton Healthcare seeks a CAT Scanner Technologist to perform high-quality CT imaging, ensuring patient safety and comfort. The role features WOW weekend schedules with premium pay and ongoing cross-training opportunities in CT modalities.

As part of the radiology team, you will educate patients, maintain image quality, and supervise students during clinical practice while adhering to departmental standards and safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Active State Radiography license and ARRT(CT) or NMTCB(CT) within 1 year of hire.
• Or a Temporary State Radiography license and ARRT-CT or NMTCB(CT) within 1 year of hire.

• Produce high quality diagnostic CT images meeting department standards.
• Educate and respond to patient questions.
• Ensure age-appropriate communication, safety, and infection control.

This is a WOW (Work on Weekends) position. Schedules for WOW employees include every weekend (Nights - Friday & Saturday, Days - Saturday & Sunday). Employees in designated WOW positions earn premium pay in addition to their competitive hourly rates and shift differential

The CAT Scanner Technologist utilizes imaging, computer and other equipment as appropriate to produce and retain high quality diagnostic images which meet or exceed department, organizational and industry standards. Demonstrates thorough knowledge of the human anatomy, physiology, as well as image quality. Applying professional knowledge, prepares patients for the procedure, educates and responds to questions or concerns. Ensures age appropriate approach to communication, safety needs, patient education and principles of physical/functional growth and development. Demonstrates an understanding of patient positioning, imaging technique, radiation safety, imaging equipment, infection control, and quality control techniques. Oversees and trains students providing patient care, treatment and services as part of their training.
