Job summary

Norton Healthcare, Inc. is seeking a CAT Scanner Technologist in Louisville, KY to perform CT imaging and diagnostic duties across modalities with cross-training opportunities.

Responsibilities include preparing patients, educating and addressing questions, ensuring safety and infection control, and training students as part of the clinical team. New rates for modalities and relocation options are available.

Qualifications

• State Radiography License is required.
• Must obtain ARRT(CT) or NMTCB(CT) within 1 year of hire.
• Temporary State Radiography License is acceptable with requirement to obtain ARRT-CT or NMTCB(CT) within 1 year.

Responsibilities

• Produce high quality diagnostic CT images meeting department and industry standards.
• Prepare patients for procedures and address questions or concerns.
• Ensure age-appropriate communication, safety, infection control, and image quality.
• Oversee and train students as part of their training.

The CAT Scanner Technologist utilizes imaging, computer and other equipment as appropriate to produce and retain high quality diagnostic images which meet or exceed department, organizational and industry standards. Demonstrates thorough knowledge of the human anatomy, physiology, as well as image quality. Applying professional knowledge, prepares patients for the procedure, educates and responds to questions or concerns. Ensures age appropriate approach to communication, safety needs, patient education and principles of physical/functional growth and development. Demonstrates an understanding of patient positioning, imaging technique, radiation safety, imaging equipment, infection control, and quality control techniques. Oversees and trains students providing patient care, treatment and services as part of their training.
