Job summary

Norton Healthcare, Inc. seeks a CAT Scanner Technologist to perform CT imaging for diagnostic quality while ensuring patient safety and comfort. The role includes weekend WOW shifts (nights Fridays and Saturdays; days Saturdays and Sundays) with premium pay and shift differential.

The position requires State Radiography Licensure and within 1 year ARRT(CT) or NMTCB(CT). Tuition and relocation incentives are available, plus comprehensive benefits and student training opportunities.

Qualifications

• Licensed radiographer
• CT imaging knowledge preferred
• Ability to supervise students during training

Responsibilities

• Perform CAT scanner imaging with attention to image quality and safety
• Prepare patients and educate them about procedures
• Ensure age-appropriate communication and infection control
• Oversee and train students as part of their clinical instruction

This is a WOW (Work on Weekends) position. Schedules for WOW employees include every weekend (Nights - Friday & Saturday, Days - Saturday & Sunday). Employees in designated WOW positions earn premium pay in addition to their competitive hourly rates and shift differential

The CAT Scanner Technologist utilizes imaging, computer and other equipment as appropriate to produce and retain high quality diagnostic images which meet or exceed department, organizational and industry standards. Demonstrates thorough knowledge of the human anatomy, physiology, as well as image quality. Applying professional knowledge, prepares patients for the procedure, educates and responds to questions or concerns. Ensures age appropriate approach to communication, safety needs, patient education and principles of physical/functional growth and development. Demonstrates an understanding of patient positioning, imaging technique, radiation safety, imaging equipment, infection control, and quality control techniques. Oversees and trains students providing patient care, treatment and services as part of their training.
