Job summary

Amergis Healthcare Staffing is looking for a CAT Scan Technologist (CT Tech) in Puyallup, WA. This contract - full time position offers a pay rate of $74 per hour and a 40-hour work week.

The CT Technologist will perform CT imaging, obtain patient history, explain procedures, address patient concerns, and perform specialized CT tasks as ordered by a physician. Licensure, ARRT certification, CPR where applicable, and compliance with standards are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• One year CT Technologist experience preferred.
• Appropriate valid state licensure in diagnostic imaging.
• ARRT certification, if required by state regulations or contract specifications.
• Current CPR if applicable.
• TB Questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable.
• Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation).
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Produces CT scans as ordered by a physician.
• Operates CT scanner and related equipment.
• Explains procedures and addresses patient concerns.
• Ensures patient history is obtained and documented.
• Adheres to professional standards of practice.

Education

High School Diploma or equivalent

1 year CT Technologist experience

State licensure in diagnostic imaging

ARRT certification (if required by state)

CPR certification (if applicable)

TB questionnaire / chest X-ray (if applicable)

Current Health certificate

Location: Puyallup, WA

The CT Scan Technologist produces computerized tomographicscanner radiographs of specific areas as ordered by a physician. These cross-sectional images provide detailedinformation about soft tissues, blood vessels, and bones, which are essentialfor accurate diagnostics. The CT ScanTechnologist obtains patient history, explains standard procedures, andaddresses patient concerns. The CT Technologist also performs a variety ofspecialized tasks involved in the performance of CT scans.

Minimum Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• One (1) year of experience as a CT Technologist preferred.
• Appropriate valid state licensure in diagnostic imaging
• A.R.R.T. (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists)Certification, if required by state regulations or contract specifications
• Complies with all relevant professional standards ofpractice
• Current CPR if applicable
• TB Questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
• Current Health certificate (per contract or stateregulation)
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
• Must be at least 18 years of age
