Overview
Cat Scan Technician role at St. Joseph's Health. Responsible for performing routine CT exams in inpatient and/or outpatient settings in accordance with established protocols for positioning, image quality, and radiation safety. Utilizes a variety of equipment including CT scanners, power injectors, as well as computers and various software programs to enter patient-related information into hospital databases. Contributes to the overall excellence of the department through commitment to personal excellence in technical and interpersonal skill.
Responsibilities

- Utilize equipment including CT scanners, power injectors, computers, and various software programs to enter patient information into hospital databases.

Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of an accredited program in Radiologic Technology.
- ARRT in CT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) required within twelve months of working in that modality.
- State of New Jersey licensure in Radiologic Technology required.
- Analytical ability to resolve problems that require basic mathematical or technical principles and in-depth experience-based knowledge.
- Ability to explain clinical, technical, and diagnostic procedures to patients and their families.
