Overview
This job requires the candidate to perform CAT scan procedures following protocols established by the radiologist and operate the CT scanner during interventional radiology (IR) procedures in the CT department. Maintains the work area by reporting maintenance issues for equipment, monitoring supplies, and addressing deficiencies. Participates in clinical activities and adheres to all infection prevention policies, utilizing the appropriate PPE as needed.
Responsibilities
- Perform CAT scan procedures following protocols established by the radiologist.
- Operate the CT scanner during IR procedures in the CT department.
- Maintain the work area by reporting maintenance issues for equipment, monitoring supplies, and addressing deficiencies.
- Participate in clinical activities and adhere to all infection prevention policies, utilizing the appropriate PPE as needed.
Experience Required
Education Requirements
- Experience with Pediatrics and Cardiac preferred but not necessary
- Graduate of AMA Approved Radiologic Technologist Program.
- Must be enrolled in a qualified Computed Tomography program
License/Certification Requirements
- Current BLS Certification (Basic Life Support).
- Current ARRT License (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists).
- Current NJ-RADTECH License (Radiologic Technologist).
Special Requirements
- ARRT Board Certified in Computed Tomography preferred. If not at the time of hire, within 12 months of employment
