Job summary

A leading healthcare provider in Camden, New Jersey, is looking for a qualified candidate to perform CAT scan procedures and operate a CT scanner during interventional radiology procedures. Candidates must have graduated from an AMA approved Radiologic Technologist program and be enrolled in a specialized Computed Tomography program. This role requires adherence to infection prevention protocols and effective maintenance of the work area. Current BLS and ARRT certifications are necessary, and ARRT certification in Computed Tomography is preferred within the first year of employment.

Qualifications

• Current BLS Certification required.

Overview

This job requires the candidate to perform CAT scan procedures following protocols established by the radiologist and operate the CT scanner during interventional radiology (IR) procedures in the CT department. Maintains the work area by reporting maintenance issues for equipment, monitoring supplies, and addressing deficiencies. Participates in clinical activities and adheres to all infection prevention policies, utilizing the appropriate PPE as needed.

• General, Trauma and ED;

Education Requirements

• Experience with Pediatrics and Cardiac preferred but not necessary
• Graduate of AMA Approved Radiologic Technologist Program.
• Must be enrolled in a qualified Computed Tomography program

License/Certification Requirements

• Current BLS Certification (Basic Life Support).
• Current ARRT License (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists).
• Current NJ-RADTECH License (Radiologic Technologist).

Special Requirements

• ARRT Board Certified in Computed Tomography preferred. If not at the time of hire, within 12 months of employment
