Responsibilities

• Schedule daily assignments for staff and manage patient flow.
• Ensure that CT equipment is compliant through inspections.
• Order and maintain adequate supply levels.
• Perform daily quality control checks on equipment.
• Train new CT Technologists.
• Assist in MRI as needed.
• Ensure patient comfort during examinations.

Cat Scan Technician

Location: Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center

Department: Cat Scan

Pay Range: $48.63 - $57.87 per hour

Job Overview: Performs CT procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision. Exercises professional judgment in performance of procedures and patient care. Conducts other related duties assigned and maintains knowledge of other areas in the department. Uses an understanding of the principles of growth and development to assess each patient's age specific needs and provide age specific treatment and care.

Qualifications

Required:

• Graduate of an AMA approved School of Radiologic Technology.
• CT experience required.

Certifications and Licenses Required:

• Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology.
• NJ License required.
• CT Certification.

Scheduling Requirements

• Day Shift
• Full-Time
• 37.5 hours per week

Essential Functions

• Schedule daily assignments for staff and management of the patient flow.
• Assist management to ensure that the CT equipment is inspected and remains compliant.
• Order and maintain adequate storeroom supply levels.
• Perform quality control and check on equipment daily.
• Train new CT Technologists.
• Assist in MRI as needed.
• Ensure patient comfort, physical and mental well being during the examination.
