Job summary

Haywood Regional Medical Center is seeking a CT Tech to join our imaging team for the night shift, Monday through Thursday, 9p-7a. The role focuses on X-ray, CT, and MRI imaging with a commitment to high-quality patient care.

A 2-year certificate, associate or bachelor's degree and ARRT registration are required, with Basic Life Support within 30 days of hire. 1 year of experience preferred and a $8,000 commitment bonus with a 2-year commitment is offered.

Qualifications

• Must have 2-year certificate, associate degree, or bachelor's degree and ARRT registration.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire.
• One year of experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Reviews patient history and physician's orders.
• Educates patient regarding procedures, equipment and exam.
• Prepares and administers contrast media and/or medications as within scope of practice.
• Monitors patient condition and responds to changes.
• Prepares equipment and supplies.
• Implements safety standards and quality control on equipment.
• Troubleshoots equipment malfunctions as needed.
• Positions patient and performs imaging procedures.
• Analyzes imaging results and addresses quality issues.

How you'll contribute

A CT Tech who excels in this role:

• Reviews patient history and physician's orders.
• Educates patient regarding procedures, equipment and exam to ensure patient's understanding and cooperation.
• When ordered, prepares and administers contrast media and/or medications within scope of practice.
• Monitors patient condition continually and reports/responds to changes in status as appropriate.
• Prepares equipment and supplies.
• Implements safety standards and performs appropriate quality control procedures on equipment.
• Troubleshoots, resolves, and/or reports equipment malfunctions as necessary.
• Positions patient and performs imaging procedure(s).
• Analyzes results and identifies issues with the quality of imaging results.
• Takes appropriate action to resolve image quality issues, including repositioning patient and repeating procedure.

What we're looking for

Must have a 2-year certificate, associate degree, or bachelor's degree as well as a current ARRT registration. Additional requirements include:
