VCA Cat Hospital of Chicago is seeking a Veterinary Technician Supervisor to lead a skilled team of technicians and assistants in a feline-exclusive, high-quality care setting. Qualifications

• Credentialed Veterinary Technician status required.
• Previous leadership, supervisory, mentoring, or training experience preferred.
• Strong clinical skills in anesthesia, dentistry, nursing, and diagnostics.
• Knowledge of low-stress feline handling or willingness to learn.
• Fear Free and cat-friendly approaches valued.
• Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to lead by example and inspire team engagement.
• Passion for exceptional patient care and staff development.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and support a team of Veterinary Technicians and Assistants.
• Oversee onboarding, training, coaching, and development of team members.
• Promote a collaborative, positive, and inclusive team culture.
• Support scheduling and staffing to ensure efficient operations.
• Provide ongoing feedback and performance coaching to staff.
• Serve as a clinical resource and role model for the nursing team.
• Assist with anesthesia monitoring, dental prophylaxis, radiographs, and diagnostics.
• Maintain accurate medical records and contribute to patient care standards.
