Job summary
Mission Pet Health is seeking a Credentialed Veterinary Technician for our Chicago-area hospitals. You’ll be a vital part of the medical team, administering treatments, monitoring anesthesia, and performing lab work while ensuring high-quality patient care.
You’ll lead and mentor teammates, educate clients about treatments, and help maintain a positive culture across our network. AVMA-accredited program graduate and active license required, with 1 year of industry experience preferred.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an AVMA-accredited Veterinary Technician program.
- A current state veterinary technician license in good standing.
- Proficiency in nursing, surgery, dental care, radiology, and lab procedures.
- Calm and efficient approach in fast-paced situations.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- One year of experience in veterinary industry preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive patient care, including administering treatments, monitoring anesthesia, and running lab work.
- Lead and mentor the medical team to maintain efficient workflow.
- Educate clients on treatments, review medical records, and address questions.
- Contribute to a positive hospital culture with training and feedback.
