Job summary

Wagner Equipment Co. Hobbs, NM is seeking a Rental Equipment Field Service Technician. You will diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair CAT heavy equipment at customer sites, performing service with supervision and teamwork in mind.

The role requires 3+ years in servicing heavy equipment, 1+ year clerical experience, strong customer service, and the ability to read schematics. Travel is substantial and safety is essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Relevant CAT related courses.
• 3+ years’ experience servicing heavy equipment.
• 1+ years administrative/clerical experience.
• 3+ years customer service experience.
• Data Entry, telephone, reading/writing, reasoning, organizational, communication & math skills.
• Safety & Product Knowledge.
• Ability to work independently with little or no direction.

Responsibilities

• Maintains truck and crane inspection logs on a daily basis.
• Completes CAT service reports daily that are legible and well-structured.
• Transmits photos, timecards, service reports, and other information through email.
• Maintains good customer records on jobs assigned.
• Maintains credit card receipts for accounting purposes.
• Works with Service, Product Support, and Sales to meet customer needs.
• Communicates with customers on diagnosis and status of repairs.
