Job summary

Wagner Equipment Co. is seeking a Field Service Technician to diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair CAT equipment at customer sites as part of a unified team. You will report to the Service Department and collaborate with Product Support and Sales to meet customer needs.

The role requires extensive field work, adherence to safety standards, and the ability to read schematics. Strong customer communication is essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 3+ years’ experience servicing heavy equipment.
• 3+ years customer service experience.
• 1+ years administrative/clerical experience.
• Data Entry, telephone, reading/writing, reasoning, organizational, communication & math skills.
• Safety & Product Knowledge.
• Ability to work independently with little or no direction.

Responsibilities

• Maintains truck and crane inspection logs daily.
• Completes CAT service reports daily with proper grammar and SIMS code.
• Transmits photos, timecards, service reports by email.
• Maintains good customer records on jobs assigned.
• Maintains credit card receipts for accounting purposes.
• Collaborates with Service, Product Support and Sales to meet customer needs.
• Communicates diagnosis and status of repairs to customers.
• Teaches and coaches other technicians in the field.
• Promotes Wagner Equipment Co. to customers.
• Troubleshoots and repairs CAT equipment the first time.
