Job summary

Wenatchee Valley Humane Society, Inc. is seeking a Cat Care & Adoption Coordinator to connect compassionate animal care with thoughtful adoption matchmaking.

This role supports the health, welfare, movement, and adoption readiness of our feline population and guides adopters toward informed placements. You will work across shelter teams to maintain accurate adoption information, support medications, and ensure safe, welcoming cat housing and successful adoptions, with a strong emphasis on

Qualifications

• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and perform physically active shelter work.
• Willingness to work weekends, holidays, and occasional evenings.
• Ability to balance compassionate customer service with sound animal-welfare decisions.

Responsibilities

• Monitor feline population health, behavior, and care needs.
• Keep cat housing, adoption areas, and profiles clean and up to date.
• Maintain adoption profiles, kennel cards, photos, biographies, and other readiness information.
• Guide adopters through matchmaking, meet-and-greets, and education on behavior and medical needs.
• Collaborate with Animal Care, Veterinary Services, Foster Care, Admissions/Client Services, shelter leadership, and volunteers.
