Job summary

Animal Friends Humane Society is seeking a Cat Care Coordinator to oversee daily care and progression of cats and kittens, ensuring medical care, enrichment, foster placement, and adoption services within the shelter system.

The role emphasizes coordinating foster programs, medical scheduling, behavior evaluation, and interdepartmental communication, with a focus on timely movement through intake, treatment, and adoption, while maintaining accurate PetPoint records.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver’s license with reliable transportation.
• Ability to safely lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Comfortable working around cats of varying temperaments and medical conditions.
• Ability to work weekends, holidays, and evenings as shelter operations require.

Responsibilities

• Oversee cat and kitten foster placements end-to-end.
• Coordinate medical follow-ups and behavior updates with foster homes.
• Maintain Foster Program materials and resources.
• Monitor shelter cat intake, medical treatment, and adoptions.
• Develop and implement behavior modification plans.
• Coordinate transfers for off-site adoption and rescue.
• Manage Barn Cat and TNR program activities.
• Maintain accurate records in PetPoint.
• Ensure enrichment programs for all cats.
