AssuranceAmerica Corporation is seeking a Liability Supervisor to lead and mentor the Bodily Injury Claims team, ensuring quality and success through coaching and performance management.

You will oversee non-complex and complex Bodily Injury claims, promote best practices, and drive positive results while maintaining compliance with company policy.

Qualifications

  • At least seven (7) years of non-standard personal lines casualty claims handling experience.
  • At least three (3) years of leadership, supervision, and training of others within a claims organization.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; nonstandard auto claims handling experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Coaches and mentors technical staff, including performance evaluations and salary reviews.
  • Performs regular file reviews and audits to determine compliance with best practices.
  • Facilitates and promotes consistent department financial results by guiding technical staff.
  • Monitors claim compliance as it pertains to claims practices and company policy.
  • Provides authority and guidance on bodily injury claims regarding coverage, liability and damages.
  • Identifies potential risk that could adversely impact department and company results.
  • Assists senior management in developing and implementing training to ensure compliance and proper claim handling.
  • Manages vendors to ensure work product and expenses align with company guidelines.
  • May be called upon to perform additional duties as needed.

Job Summary

As a Liability Supervisor, you are responsible for the overall quality and success of the team you supervise. You will lead and mentor the team, providing direction and guidance on both non-complex and complex Bodily Injury Claims and create a positive, goal-oriented environment.

Job Responsibilities
  • Guides and manages the performance and professional development through coaching and mentoring of technical staff, including performance evaluations and salary reviews.
  • Performs regular file reviews and audits to determine compliance with best practices.
  • Facilitates and promotes consistent, positive Department financial results by actively strategizing with and providing appropriate guidance and authority to technical staff.
  • Monitor claim compliance as it pertains to claims practices and company policy
  • Provide authority and guidance on all bodily injury claims regarding coverage, liability and damages
  • Identify potential risk that could have an adverse impact on departmental and company results
  • Assist senior management in the development and implementation of training as needed to ensure compliance and proper claim handling
  • Vendor management ensuring work product and expenses are in accordance with company guidelines
  • May be called upon to perform additional duties as needed
Qualifications
Required

At least seven (7) years of non-standard personal lines casualty claims handling experience.

At least three (3) years of leadership, supervision, and training of others within a claims organization.

Preferred

Bachelor’s degree.

Nonstandard auto claims handling experience.
