Arch Insurance Group Inc. is seeking a Claims Examiner, Casualty, for the Middle Market Casualty Team. The role manages commercial claims for medium severity and general liability, including excess and umbrella policies, across the United States.

You will review coverage issues, coordinate with counsel, negotiate resolutions, and prepare reserves. This hybrid role requires strong communication and negotiation skills, a Bachelor's degree, and active adjuster licensing.

Qualifications

• Three to five years of casualty claims experience with primary or excess carrier.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Hybrid role with in-office presence three days a week and 10% travel.
• Bachelor's degree and active adjuster licensing in applicable states.

Responsibilities

• Identify and assess coverage issues and draft letters; retain coverage counsel when needed.
• Develop and implement strategy aligned with matters under the handler's care.
• Mitigate indemnity and expense exposure through timely resolution strategies.
• Maintain contact with claims carriers, underwriters, defense counsel, and brokers.
