Arch Insurance Group Inc. is seeking a Claims Examiner, Casualty in the Middle Market Casualty Team to actively manage commercial casualty claims across the United States, including medium severity, general liability, and related excess/umbrella policies.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience with a primary or excess carrier for Casualty claims.
• Active adjuster licensure in all applicable states.

Responsibilities

• Identify and assess coverage issues and draft coverage position letters.
• Develop and implement strategy for coverage issues in line with the matter handler's strategy.
• Negotiate resolution of claims and review litigation materials.
• Travel within the United States for mediations, trials, and other proceedings.
• Retain counsel and direct counsel in accordance with resolution strategy.
• Review statutes, rules and case law for each jurisdiction.
