Job summary

Howden is seeking an Associate Broker to support senior brokers in placement and servicing Casualty programs from Chicago with a hybrid schedule. This role provides analytical, marketing, and execution support.

You will prepare client presentations, analyze carrier terms, support market submissions, pricing, and assist with renewal strategy. Early-career professionals encouraged to grow into leadership.

Qualifications

• 0–3 years in insurance, finance, consulting, analytics, or related field.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills with Excel.
• Highly organized with deadlines; detail oriented.
• Clear written and verbal communication.
• Willingness to obtain insurance licensing if needed.

Responsibilities

• Support senior brokers in structuring and placing Casualty programs across lines.
• Create clear client-facing materials like proposals and coverage comparisons.
• Liaise with underwriters to collect terms and negotiate coverage.
• Run benchmarking, loss analysis, and data-driven tools for renewals and pricing.
• Collaborate with senior brokers and account executives on proposals.
• Prepare renewal strategy documents with benchmarking insights.
• Partner across teams to ensure exceptional client service and deal execution.
