Qualifications

• Three or more years of experience in an insurance claim environment, preferably personal lines automobile.
• Experience as a Casualty Claim Adjuster or similar position.
• License/Certification: Auto Adjuster License/Property and Casualty License (Required).
• Bachelor's degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Address unrepresented and represented bodily injury claims.
• Obtain statements to establish liability and verify coverage.
• Determine appropriate settlement ranges for injuries and damages.
• Explain claims procedures to involved parties in writing and verbally.
• Review documents for accuracy and establish settlement values.
• Engage attorneys and unrepresented parties to resolve claims with realistic settlements.
• Comply with reporting requirements (ISO, CMS).
• Apply comparative negligence to minimize paid severity.
• Document activities clearly in claim files and issue payments as appropriate.
