Job summary

Fairview Health Services seeks a Casual Neonatology physician to cover shifts on an as-needed basis at Fairview Ridges Hospital in Burnsville, MN. Coverage may be required at St. John's, Woodwinds and Southdale Hospitals as needed.

The role involves delivering comprehensive care to newborns and premature infants, participating in deliveries, and coordinating with the neonatal team to ensure high-quality patient outcomes. Board eligibility/certification in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine is expected.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited ACGME Pediatric residency and a Neonatal-Perinatal fellowship training program.
• Board eligible/certified in Neonatal – Perinatal Medicine.
• Licensed or ability to obtain Minnesota Board of Medical Practice Licensure.
• Ability to obtain and /or maintain DEA certification for the State of Minnesota.
• Meet threshold criteria/qualifications for Credentialing and Privileges.
• Experience as a Neonatologist required.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive care to newborns and premature infants.
• Evaluate the physical and mental development of newborns.
• Perform assessments of infants’ health, including ordering and interpreting lab and imaging tests.
• Prescribe medications and treatment plans.
• Advise parents on infant care and nutrition.
• Attend deliveries and provide emergency care for newborns.
• Collaborate with other healthcare team to ensure the best possible care for the newborn.
