Job summary

Advocate Health in Illinois is seeking a Casual MRI Technologist to join St. Luke’s South Shore on a part-time basis.

This role offers flexible scheduling, with a minimum commitment of two shifts per month and the possibility of days, evenings, or weekends. You will operate MRI equipment to perform diagnostic imaging, prepare patients, administer contrast under radiologist direction, and ensure accurate labeling and records.

Qualifications

• Advanced training in Radiologic Technology.
• No experience required.
• MRI certification within 2 years; BLS within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Operate MR equipment for basic/intermediate imaging.
• Acquire patient history and confirm orders; administer contrast as directed.
• Position patients and optimize scan factors; ensure safety.
• Process images and label files; document charges.
• Maintain QA tests and report equipment issues.
