Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Casual MRI technologist for varying shifts including weekdays and weekends. This part-time, benefits-eligible role involves patient assessment, MR imaging across musculoskeletal, neurological and body exams, and collaboration with Radiology staff.

Applicants must hold RT registration and MRI certification with AHA BLS within 6 months where required. Siemens MRI experience is preferred but not mandatory.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of cross sectional anatomy and magnetic safety.
• Competent in IV and venipuncture (if required by facility).
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and patient service skills.
• Ability to work independently with basic computer use.

Responsibilities

• Operate MR equipment to perform basic/intermediate diagnostic procedures.
• Acquire patient history and verify exam accuracy against orders.
• Prepare and administer contrast media under Radiologist direction.
• Label, store and process MR images and ensure correct billing codes.
