Job summary

Northwestern Medicine is seeking a Patient Care Tech to support our nursing team on a casual, non-benefited day shift. You will perform basic patient care activities under the supervision of an RN, assist with daily living tasks, monitor vital signs, and help keep patient areas clean and orderly while communicating with staff and families.

The role requires a High School Diploma or equivalent, CNA/CMA/EMT or nursing student with one semester of clinicals, and American Heart Association BLS

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• CNA/CMA/EMT or nursing student with clinicals completed is required.
• BLS certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Performs basic nursing care activities as delegated and supervised by an RN.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living including bathing, grooming, and eating.
• Reports abnormal findings to nursing staff and maintains patient safety.

Phlebotomy experience

Education

High School Diploma or equivalent

Certified Nursing Assistant, Certified Medical Assistant, Emergency Medical Technician, or nursing school students with one semester of clinical completed
