Qualifications

• Possession of a baccalaureate degree and one year of professional student services experience.
• Familiarity with grant funded programs and requirements.
• Ability to resolve complex problems.
• Strong written and verbal communication; report preparation.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Suites.
• Valid driver's license and ability to drive for program errands.
• Ability to work days, evenings, and weekends as directed.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive academic advising and student support to low-income, first‑generation, and students with disabilities, including academic, financial aid, career, and personal guidance.
• Facilitate student intake and assist in the implementation of individualized action plans, monitor progress, and ensure delivery of grant‑mandated services.
• Coordinate and facilitate workshops and activities related to academic success, financial literacy, graduate school preparation, cultural enrichment, and personal development.
• Oversee student internship program, including coordinating scheduling, training, and tracking engagement.
• Perform administrative support for the SSSP internship program by arranging placements, assisting students with required forms, and evaluating outcomes.
• Maintain and update student records in systems such as Banner, STAR Hawaii, and Student Access.
• Assist with procurement, vendor communication, inventory management, and student communications.
• Support recruitment and outreach efforts, represent the program at events, and assist with eligibility screening.
• Input and compile program data for reports to support grant compliance and continuous improvement.
• Provide consistent in-person office coverage and collaborate with the Executive Director on staffing.
• Participates in meetings and professional development, maintain office presence, and provide in-person/virtual services as needed.
