Job summary

Gränges Americas in Huntingdon, TN, seeks a Casting Production Superintendent to lead safety, production, quality, and reliability in the casting department. You will drive day-to-day operations, mentor supervisors, and partner with maintenance and engineering to minimize downtime.

The role requires 7–10 years in casting and 5–10 years as a production supervisor in manufacturing, plus TS16949 experience and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering or equivalent is required.
• 7–10 years experience in casting aluminum products is preferred.
• 5–10 years experience as a production supervisor or manager in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
• Experience in TS16949 certified facilities is highly desirable.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills and ability to work as a team member.

Responsibilities

• Safety leadership and proactive culture development; lead safety investigations and risk mitigation.
• Lead floor presence, align with plant priorities and company values.
• Manage daily casting operations during DMS and GEMBA Walks with immediate action on excursions.
• Coach Area Coordinators and Shift Supervisors; ensure understanding of roles and quality standards.
• Deploy operational strategies and sustain DMS, Standardized Work, RCA, and performance tracking.
• Own delivery of short-term targets for Production, Downtime, Scrap, Quality, and Cost control.
• Ensure product quality meets internal specs and alloy requirements.
