Job summary

Ashland Foundry & Machine Works LLC Weatherly, PA is seeking a WCM-Finishing Operator C to perform finishing on secondary castings and Bull Ring assemblies. You will remove flashing, gate remnants, and risers, and finish grind cast surfaces as part of the heat-treatment process.

The role requires standing for long periods, physical lifting up to 50 pounds, and familiarity with grinding/ cleaning steps. Teamwork and attention to quality are essential in this manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Continuous physical effort in handling finishing tools and equipment.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods.
• Familiar with grinding/ cleaning processes and Bull Ring Assemblies.

Responsibilities

• Perform all phases of secondary casting part finishing (removing flashing and gating, cutting or knocking off risers, grinding riser contacts pre- and post- heat treatment).
• Finish grind and blending of rough casting surfaces and box/identify packaged assemblies.
• Compile quantities of segments to build out Bull Ring Assemblies and report needs to complete jobs.
