Job summary

Ashland Foundry & Machine Works is seeking a skilled grinder/finisher to perform all phases of secondary casting finishing on-site. Responsibilities include removing flashing and gating, grinding risers, and blending cast surfaces to specification.

The role requires the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand for long periods, and operate finishing tools and equipment safely in a busy production environment.

Qualifications

• Must perform all phases of the grinding/cleaning process for secondary casting parts.
• Must be able to break segments from gating and select components for assemblies.
• Experience handling heavy castings and maintaining quality during finishing operations.

Responsibilities

• Perform all phases of secondary casting part finishing, including removal of flashing and gating, grinding risers, and finishing surfaces.
• Finish grinding and blending of rough casting surfaces to specification.
• Compile and report quantities and ensure proper boxing/identification of packaged assemblies.
