Job summary

Alcoa is seeking a Casthouse Superintendent to lead daily operations in Warrick, Indiana, guiding four supervisors and supporting hourly staff in a union environment. You will ensure safe, efficient production from molten metal receipt to finished product, with a Monday–Friday core schedule and flexibility for cross-shift coverage.

Qualifications

• Leadership experience in manufacturing or heavy industry.
• Experience supervising salaried and hourly employees in a union environment.
• Hands-on understanding of Casthouse or aluminum operations.
• Strong safety, planning, organization, and decision-making skills.
• Familiarity with ISO systems, Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily Casthouse operations with priorities for safety, production, quality, cost, and compliance.
• Coach and develop frontline supervisors and employees, improving communication and teamwork across shifts.
• Monitor production and material flow; troubleshoot issues; align staffing, equipment and resources for reliable output.
• Partner with Maintenance and support functions to prioritize repairs and coordinate preventive maintenance.
• Maintain operating discipline and quality-system compliance; act as Casthouse Manager when needed.
