Job summary

Alcoa Corporation in Newburgh, Indiana seeks a Casthouse Superintendent to direct daily Casthouse operations, lead four supervisors and support hourly union staff, ensuring safe, reliable production from molten metal receipt to finished goods.

You will drive safety culture, prioritize production goals, and collaborate with Maintenance and other functions to minimize downtime, uphold ISO 9001 standards, and foster continuous improvement across shifts.

Qualifications

• Significant leadership or supervisory experience in a manufacturing, smelting, casting, or heavy industrial environment.
• Experience leading salaried supervisors and working effectively with hourly employees in a union environment is preferred.
• Hands-on understanding of Casthouse or related aluminum operations and ability to oversee safe, reliable production.
• Strong planning, organization, and decision-making skills with a commitment to safety and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily Casthouse operations with safety, production, quality and cost priorities.
• Build a strong safety culture through visible floor leadership and audits.
• Coach and develop frontline supervisors and employees across shifts.
• Monitor production flow, troubleshoot issues, and optimize staffing and equipment.
• Coordinate with Maintenance to prioritize repairs and reduce downtime.
• Maintain ISO 9001 compliance and support department administration.
