Job summary

Cherokee Nation Businesses is seeking a Safety Coordinator to support safety and environmental programs at Gold Strike Casino. The role involves developing, implementing, and monitoring safety policies, conducting inspections and training, and reporting to the Safety Manager.

The position requires an Associate degree or equivalent, and 1–2 years of customer service experience. You will work to ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, NFPA, and related regulations in a fast-paced casino environment.

Qualifications

• Requires an Associate's degree or equivalent experience.
• 1–2 years of customer service experience in a similar role preferred.
• Ability to obtain Gaming registration as required by jurisdiction.

Responsibilities

• Supports development and administration of departmental policies and procedures (P&Ps).
• Ensures safety P&Ps are followed and action items completed.
• Conducts safety/environmental inspections and audits.
• Completes and forwards requisitions, reports, or recommendations to the Safety Manager.
• Conducts incident investigations and reviews.
• Maintains confidentiality of information.
• Delivers safety training to promote safe work practices and compliance.
• Interacts with property management, contractors, and employees to resolve issues.
• Supports enforcement of safety codes and laws at all levels.
• Assists with corporate-wide projects and tasks.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
