Job summary

Cherokee Nation Entertainment's Gold Strike Casino in Mississippi is seeking a Safety Coordinator to support safety and environmental programs, conduct inspections, training, and investigations to maintain regulatory compliance and a safe workplace.

Reporting to the Safety Manager, the role requires an associate degree, 1–2 years of customer service experience, and the ability to obtain Gaming registration.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or equivalent education/experience.
• 1–2 years of related customer service experience.
• Ability to obtain Gaming registration.

Responsibilities

• Develop and administer departmental policies and procedures (P&Ps).
• Ensure safety P&Ps are followed and action items completed.
• Conduct safety/environmental inspections and audits.
• Prepare and forward requisitions, reports, or recommendations to the Safety Manager.
• Conduct and review incident investigations.
• Conduct safety meetings and training to improve safe work practices.
• Communicate with property management, contractors, and employees to resolve issues.
