Job summary

Four Winds Casinos is seeking a Cook responsible for achieving standards for basic food preparation and cooking. You will prepare and garnish dishes, maintain storage areas, and ensure compliance with health regulations.

The role requires following recipes and control procedures, assisting guests, and maintaining a clean, organized station. A Level 4 Gaming License is required and a high school diploma or GED is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or G.E.D. preferred.
• Strong organizational skills required.
• Level 4 Gaming License required.
• Ability to read and understand simple instructions and memos; write simple correspondence.

Responsibilities

• Prepares, seasons, finishes, and garnishes all food.
• Maintains refrigeration and dry storage areas with proper handling and rotation.
• Keeps culinary station clean and items properly covered and stored at end of shift.
• Follows recipes, specs, and control procedures.
• Maintains sanitary area in accordance with health regulations.
• Assists guests and handles guest requests when needed.
• Helps stock dishes when needed and assists with storage and rotation of food products.
• Uses dry and liquid measures and scales to portion items.
• Stirs and strains soups and sauces.
• Performs receiving, thawing, storage, and re-thermalization procedures.
