Job summary

Caesars Entertainment is seeking a cook to assist in providing a superior dining experience. Prepare sauces, gravies and foods of medium complexity, maintain a clean prep area, and work behind the scenes as needed.

Requirements include 18+, English proficiency, high school completion with cooking knowledge, and flexibility to work holidays/weekends. 4–5 years of prep experience preferred and eligibility for Indiana gaming license. ROP $17/hr in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Proficient in English verbal and written.
• Equivalent to a high school education with thorough knowledge of cooking techniques.
• Flexible to work various shifts, weekends, and holidays.
• 4–5 years experience in food preparation is preferred.
• Must qualify for, obtain, and maintain a gaming license from the Indiana Gaming Commission, if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Check and ensure adequate supply of foods and seasonings.
• Check that food is adequately prepared for cooking and serving.
• Prepare desserts, entrees, soups and other foods of medium complexity according to directions.
• Operate steamer, oven, slicer and other cooking equipment.
• Follow sanitation procedures as instructed by the local health department.
• Open food service outlets in a timely fashion as instructed.
• Must be able to work various shifts and hours to include holidays and weekends.
